Metallic dusting (bronzing). - Typoretum

Metallic dusting (bronzing).

Where bright metallic colours are required we can hand-apply a superfine metallic powder to the letterpress printed piece. This traditional technique (bronzing) provides a rich metallic finish that works beautifully with letterpress and is more suited to small quantities. For larger quantities we would normally recommend hot foiling of metallic colours.

Some examples of projects that have been enhanced by metallic dusting can be viewed on this page.
